#71 At the Polar Circle


If you look at a map of the world, you will notice that there are few cities north of the Polar Circle. Sweden is one of the countries that stretch north of the circle.

The Pictures in this post are from Jokkmokk in Sweden (situated almost exactly on the Polar Circle) shot in 2018 around this time of the year. I am lucky enough to have a job, that takes me there once every now and then.

The Photographer of the town. Beautiful…

The days are short at this time of the year. Sunrise at 10 am and sunset at 2 pm. As I took the pictures in the post it was about minus 30 degrees outside.

The window of a local store. By the way…I used the Leica M240 and a Zeiss Biogon 28/2,8 for the shots. It worked just fine in the cold…
