#94 The Streets of Lund

Last week we spend a day in Lund, in the southern part of Sweden.  Lund was founded in the 10:th century and has a lot of history. When the city was founded it was a part of Denmark. By the time it became the most important city of Denmark. It was not until 1658 the city became Swedish, at the ”Treaty of Roskilde”.

Lund is a University City – which means that the city gets rather calm during the summer (at least that is my experience). The University has about 40.000 students…

I lived just outside Lund back in 1996-97, as I did basic training for the job I stille have today. I really liked the city and I try to go there every now and then just to walk the streets for a few hours.

The city has a beautiful cathedral from the 12:th century. It is really worth a visit, if you like historical buildings. I think I will make a special post about it, later on…

My camera of choise in Lund was my Leica M240, with the Zeiss 35/2,8.
