Our house is built about 200 meters from the main railway between Stockholm and Malmö. Trains are passing at high speed around the clock. When we moved here we were a little afraid that the trains should be disturbing – but it has almost become the other way around. The trains are our old friends now. The X2000 high speed trains are passing at 200 km/h a couple of times every hour. The green and yellow postal train only at 160 km/h. Two or three times per hour the local train stops, lets people off and collects some new. Then we have the freight trains. Long or even longer. Our friends.
