When we walk into a library there is this special scent, that has always been the same. The scent of books. We who grew up before the internet spent a lot of time in librarys, searching for information as we went through school. I doubt that my children will remember this scent as I do. I wonder what their scents from the past will be…

If we take the stairs to the basement in our library there is a collection of old[er] books. In fact the exact same books that gave us the scent and information back then.

Interesting use of the word old, by the way. If I write ”old books” – I read; books from the 17:th century (or so). But if I write ”older books” – I read; books from the 20:th century. Of course I relate ”old” to different things – but anyway…

On the way up from the basement there is this large painting of the former Bishop of Linköping Martin Lind. A nice painting – but why is it kept in the basement of the towns library?

I am trying out a new lens that I added to my collection of [non] Leica lenses. I will get back to that lens in the coming posts – but I can say that it is a lens that I think I will use a lot on my camera…
