Still in the deep forests of Småland. The place is called ”Kyrkö Mosse”. A sign beside the road; ”Car Graveyard”. A small parking is half full of cars and motor cycles. A handful of visitors can be seen between the trees. Nothing else is visible from the parking – we have to walk a little bit into the woods before the first cars appear.

Suddenly they are everywhere. Cars from another time. Some I can remember from when I was young. Others looks like they were from an old black and white movie.

This was the business of Åke Danielsson from the mid 20:th century. Åke lived at the site in a little house. According to the signs Åke lived here until 1992, when he moved to a retirement home in the nearby village Ryd.

I was here the first time back in 2008 and time has set it’s mark on the graveyard. The cars has obviously been affected by weather and wind – but it seems that the visitors has been the biggest reason to the mark of time.

At the picture above you can see the old bus that Åke used as a warehouse. The picture is from my first visit in 2008. The picture below is from 2023. It is clear that it is not only weather that has affected the bus…

The place is odd and interesting. As a photographer it is easy to go bananas. In this case I wonder how long it will exist. Maybe this was my last visit?

I used a Nikon D200 the first time I was here – a great camera at the time. That camera was stolen in Barcelona. I wonder where it is now…

This time i used my Leica M10 with a Summilux 1,4/50 mounted. The next day the focusing stopped working. I wonder if this place affects my cameras in any way. Maybe that is another reason why I should not come back…

I love these kind of pictures, beautiful !
