I was out walking in my home town Linköping. Suddenly I saw the man with the red bag. He was about fifty meters away and he was walking away from me. I took a shot from a distance – but I realized that I needed to get closer.

The picture above was shot in landscape mode as I got closer. But my favourite is the third [and final] picture. I got a little closer and turned my camera into portraite mode.

I had the Leica M3 loaded with a Kodak Gold 200. I have made almost no changes in post – just lifted the contrast a little. I love the colors and the bag – it could have been shot in 1980 or in 2024.
