Sometimes you find a place that you just like. You keep returning time after time, just to feel good. In Sweden we call them ”Smultronställen” – I am not sure of if there is a good expression for it in the English language – there are probably several. Sweet spot? Hidden gem?

Anyway…it can be a nice place by a small lake, a hotel in Norway, a place to buy a nice icecream in Helsingør – or as in my case today; a small café; Café Chocolat in Linköping.

I love having a good cappuccino, perhaps a croissant and just enjoy, relax and have a little time for myself. Of course I love going to cafés with friends and family as well – but that is a totally different thing.

In Linköping there is this small café called Chocolat. I found it a couple of years ago and have ever since come back at least once a week, when I am able. Chocolat is a place where I always feel welcome, always get good service and know that the coffee is just how I like it. I can come for working out of the office a short while, having breakfast, reading or writing a blog post. It is also the café I always bring my family and friends to, as I want to have a nice old ”Swedish fika”.

Today I suddenly found my self being able to take the day off from work on short notice, so I figured – why not make a blog post about Chocolat at Chocolat.
